What size tablecloth do I need?
That is one of the most frequently asked questions we get.
The basic answer is to add 10 to 24 inches (25 to 60 cm) to the length and to the width (diameter for a round table) and pick the closest available tablecloth.
However, a couple things should be considered:
- What will the tablecloth be used for? Will your tablecloth be used on a table that will often be used to sit guests or will it be used on a decorative table?
If you table is the seat-around kind, we recommend you keep the size on the smaller side. This will make it easier for guests to sit without dragging the tablecloth with their knees. On the other hand if your table is decorative, a larger tablecloth may look better.
- Is the drop even all around? This is only a consideration if your table is rectangular or oval. You want to avoid having the tablecloth drop considerably more on the short ends as opposed to the long sides or vice versa.
